If you’ve ever had to create a color palette for a project, you’ve probably seen a few of the sites out there that try to make that process easier. I’ve used a number of different services, and while they’ve proven useful at times, it always felt like there had to be a better way.
This is the part where I wish I could say I decided to tackle the problem myself, but that didn’t happen. Fabrizio Bianchi did though, and the result is the recently-launched Coolors.
While I haven’t tried the mobile app, the desktop experience is fantastic. It’s easy of use (just hit the spacebar to randomize colors), customizable (arrange colors and adjust by HEX, HSB, RGB, CMYK, or PMS), looks great (try it responsively), and has enough features to be useful without feeling bloated (lock in specific colors, save or export your palettes).
Whether you’re looking for a little inspiration, or a full color palette, I’d definitely recommend giving Coolors a go.
